The long awaited follow-up between Dirtybird compares, Claude VonStroke and Justin Martin was well worth the wait. ‘Beat That Bird’ signifies a milestone in the history of the label which features on Claude VonStroke’s album, ‘Bird Brain’. Claude’s Australian home, Hussle Recordings complete the package with a cavernous sewer-dwelling remix from Pow! Pow! Jori Hulkkonen LP continues

Jori Hulkkonen’s superb 2009 album Man From Earth offered nothing if not a glimpse of pure inspiration from the Finnish techno producer. Now, Turbo are proud to be releasing the remixes offering an amazing new perspectives on tracks from the LP.

Sei A’s Dub mix of “Re: Last Year” is a underwater blonker, held together by techno hats and and a sense of adverture. You’ll realize its full significance when you hear it on the dancefloor and you look over and see us looking back, just noddin’ and grinnin’. It’s going to be great. Additional remixes come from Jesper Dahlback, Guy J, Matt Walsh and Alex Jones and Astronomer.

Turbo079 drops 22nd Feb on vinyl 2nd March for digital.

Pow! Pow! to Empire Of The Sun

Last November Luke Steele snatched 4 ARIA Awards at Australia’s music industry night ‘o’ nights for his involvement in the elaborate-electronic-hoodoo, Empire Of The Sun. After a heavenly start with singles, Walking On A Dream and We Are The People the band approach their all-important third single, Without You – along with the challenge of presenting an impressing remix package. Thankfully there’s a gift of riddim funk from nu-duo, Pow! Pow! that grabbed us by the short and curlies.

With support from king-pins like Claude VonStroke, L-Vis 1990, Chris Duckenfield, Mowgli and Riva Starr, we really hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
